Swimming
This year for swimming I was excited and nervous at the same time. I didn't really get much experience of swimming when I was a kid so I was really nervous and scared of drowning or not doing the right thing. I was the first in my family to actually learn how to swim which was kinda exciting. I didn't really get the purpose of swimming at first but then realized that it can be used as a sport or save someones life. When we first started swimming I had mixed emotions of how I would do. I didn't really do good on the first test so I went to level one.
My first days in level 1 was a good experience because we got to learn new techniques like how to blow bubbles through our noses from underwater. I didn't really find it hard because it was a very simple task well, for me it was. During the days I of swimming I really saw improvement. I never really learned how to float but by practicing i got better at it. While being in level 1 I learned how to streamline but, in short distance. I really couldn't go streamlining for a long distance because i felt weird being in the same position for a long time and I couldn't hold my breath for to long.
More days have passed by and I'm still in level 1 but this time we are learning something new. We learned how to grab hoops from under water and try to collect as many. For me it was kinda easy but also kinda fun. The hard part for me was trying to go down and grab it. I didn't really get the point of this exercise and how it would help us improve in swimming.
In conclusion, I really did learn new things this year in swimming like new swimming positions and how to blow bubbles through my nose. Even though I didn't make it to level 2 I still have a lot to learn about swimming to get better. I will continue to try my best and get to level 2.
